Dear visitors of our site!
The project presented to you enables
acquaintance and communication with the history and activity of the Russian
Orthodox Church in the Kazan diocese through the informational resources of
the Internet.
We had the time, when Russia was not only
baptized, but it was enlightened. Orthodox Christians not only called
themselves as Orthodox, but they had certain ideas about their faith, as
they since childhood get instructions in the Truth from their parents,
godparents and spiritual fathers, who carried out the spiritual enlightening
education of the Russian Church. This system of the spiritual enlightening
education of Orthodox Christians was destroyed during the hard time, when
the Church was enduring persecution from the godless authority. As a result,
many generations have grown up without any knowledge about the Church. The
consequence of all that is a sad fact, when many critics of the Orthodox
Church are living according to the stereotypes of the communist ideology,
and a great deal of Christians calling themselves as Orthodox, in fact have
no ideas about the Orthodox faith and history of the Church.
Therefore, the aim of this project is to
give to everyone, who has a wish, an acquaintance with the Orthodox faith,
beginning with the basic ideas up to the profound theological investigations.
In addition to it, there is placed in our Web site information about the
history how the Christianity appeared and was spreading in Kazan city,
information about creating and activity of spiritual enlightening centers in
Kazan land, about actual position of the Kazan Diocese, its churches,
cloisters and institutions of religious education.
Everyone can ask something he is
interested in. You can also leave a comment, which surely will be taken into
consideration.
